Quiz #2

Frank O'Hara's Lunch Poems can at first seem difficult to many readers, especially students. Yet as the poems move along, dimensions of the speaker's "personality" can appear. This personality is having a conversation with the reader, and just because the reader doesn't get all the references doesn't mean the poems can't be understood. In fact, many of the poems are actually about simple emotions or experiences.

What was your experience reading Lunch Poems? At what point did you feel "safer" listening (or reading) them? Besides confusion, what was your favorite experience reading them?

If all you felt was frustration, explain how and why you felt frustrated - students that "gave up," stopped reading, or didn't try should simply not turn in the quiz.
